June 13th & 14th Cedar Point North Carolina

June 13th & 14th Cedar Point North Carolina
Took the ferry from Ocracoke to Cedar Island.  From there we traveled south to Morehead City.  At Morehead city we stopped at a verizon store and spent the next hour getting Elaine a replacement cell phone. The smallest phone that was as close to her Motorola Droid was an iPhone SE, so Elaine reluctantly joined the Apple community.
After Moorehead City it was a short drive to our campspot south at Cedar Point.  This was a very nice campground and we had an excellent spot with electricity.
This big guy hitched a ride on our windshield on our way to Morehead City.  Yes some of the bugs are big down here!
Here is our campsite at Cedar Point.  Lots of room to spread out and the bugs were not as present so we did not put up the screen tent.

Another view to the right of our campsite showing the spaciousness of the layout.

We had not done laundry in quite a while so the next day , June 14th was designated laundry day.  $22 dollars in quarters and 2 hours later we were ready for continuing the day.  But the weather decided to not cooperate and we headed back up to Morehead City for some shopping.  Elaine had great success finding some items she needed in Belk's. Before heading to Morehead City we dropped into the local state park in Swansboro.
Nice exhibit of a trurtle skeleton at the Hammocks Beach State Park visitor center.  It was pouring rain so the visitor center was a good diversion.

I did not know that turtles did not have teeth!

The next moring we headed out with a slight change in plans.  We decided to go to Myrtle Beach instead of Little Pee Dee which was not a coastal campsite.  That turned into a very good decision.
